Commercial Centre Club House Bar The Course

Set in rural Spain but within 15 minutes of the beautiful beaches and resorts of the Costa Calida, La Tercia is only 15 minutes from San Javier Airport (Murcia) and 40 minutes from El Altet Airport (Alicante) and is within easy reach of the cities of Murcia and Cartagena.

La Tercia golf course has been designed by Pepe Gancedo, who has designed many courses throughout Europe and is acclaimed for the limitless playability in his designs. His courses blend into the terrain of the area, with and look and feel to them that is uniquely his. La Tercia is no exception.

The first 9 holes are open for play with a further 10 holes due to be completed in 2009. When the course opened in October 2008, a local golf professional described the par 5 holes as ‘challenging’ and the greens as ‘some of the best in Murcia’.

As well as a fantastic course, La Tercia boasts an Aquatic Driving Range, the only one of its kind in Spain, where for once you can enjoy seeing your ball drop into water! Not only is it a magnificent water feature, it’s also a great place to sharpen your game.

There are spectacular views from the Club House terrace across the course towards the Carrascoy Mountains.

The resort boasts a super sports complex, a five-a-side football pitch, a bowling green, tennis courts, a basketball court, a boules area and cycle paths throughout. These are all within less than five minutes walking distance of the ‘Green’ apartment and within a ten minute stroll of the ‘Swing’ apartment.

For young children there are many safe play areas located throughout the resort with slides, swings and climbing frames.

There is also the convenience of a Spar shop on site.

For the golf enthusiast it’s a great place to stay, having easy access to many other golf courses in the area e.g. Roda, Campoamor, El Valle, La Torre, Mosa Trajectum, Mar Menor and not forgetting the famous La Manga course. The nearby village of La Tercia has a summer fiesta in July. The whole village turns out in force from grandmas to toddlers; there’s live music and dancing well into the wee small hours and not a lager lout in sight! 2008 saw the streets full of foam from the foam machine, which we hope will be a feature of 2009!

To fully explore and enjoy the area the use of a car is recommended. Just let us know if you would like us to arrange car hire for you.
